Dear Patients,
Although our office has always practiced universal precautions to prevent transmissions of diseases within the dental office, we have made additional changes for the safety and well-being of everyone.
The changes implemented are based on guidelines from the CDC, the Ca. Dept of Public Health, our local Health Dept, Cal-OSHA and the CDA/ADA. We appreciate your support and understanding as we transition into this “new normal”. You may also check our website for further details and information.

- When we call to confirm your appointment, please advise us if you, or any of your household members, are suspect for illness.
- For the time being you may notice that our appointments may be longer, and the availability may be limited as well. We are limiting the number of patients we are scheduling and staggering appointments so we can carry out extra sanitation measures and to maintain social distancing in the office. We will strive to eliminate wait time or reduce it to a very minimum. We ask that you arrive at your scheduled time.
- We have reduced the amount of seating in the reception room to abide by social distancing. Magazines are difficult to sanitize and have been removed.
- For new patients we ask that you fill out registration forms ahead of time whenever possible. They are available on our website.
- At check in, we ask that everyone arrive wearing a mask for the duration of the visit except as needed for treatment.
- Each morning, all staff members will also be screened for any changes in our own health. You may notice that staff are wearing additional protective equipment including face shields, clinical gowns, and a hair protection cap.
- For the office environment, hospital-grade, ultra-HEPA IQAir filter machines have been placed in the office to help reduce bacteria, viral, and allergen aerosols. Unlike household filters, IQAir is able to filter out particles smaller than a virus.
A great amount of time, energy and research has gone into formulating new protocols to incorporate for a Coronavirus era. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to delivering the highest quality of care for our patients in a safe environment. As we all transition into this “new normal” we appreciate your patience and feedback during these challenging times. This is a very dynamic period and as trends evolve with new challenges arising there are likely additional changes to be implemented.
We can’t wait to see your smile again soon!
